Today, went to an all you can eat restaurant with one of my teachers, and ate way too much meat. It was amazing! I really wish I could go back sometime, but I’m leaving next Tuesday.

By the way, to all my Office Depot friends, there’s a store nearby the CTM which is nearly an Office Depot, complete with supply, tech, and copy & print services. It’s a cool place. On the note of it, I’ve aquired some envelopes, so I’m not in a major hurry for them any more. Sadly they don’t have a sticky surface.

Then we had an amazing lightning storm that sounded like monsters trying to open a hole in the sky. Irmã Sci Sci says that this is normal. If this is normal, I don’t want to see bad storms here at all. Beyond that, still studying, still learning. Thanksgiving was fairly normal, as far as food was concerned, we got turkey and mashed potatoes. Hope everyone at home is doing great!

I’ve been writing a few snail mail letters, hopefully they’ll get there. Learning Portuguese still, it’s exciting and frustrating. I keep mixing up my German grammar. I’m no longer in a group with a German, so that might fade away soon (I hope). I have been able to read stuff in Portuguese and understand it, but still can’t speak it worth anything. Yes, I’ve been outside, but only just around the CTM. Hope everything at home is going well. Please write to me! I may not reply becuase of time, but I want to know what everyone is up to!

Things are going well, I’m doing a bunch of… the exact same stuff that I was doing in Provo. Studying Portuguese, studying gospel stuff, you know… that kind of thing. Feeling way too ignorant about the events of the world. While I was in New York Airport (JFK) for seven hours, I got to see some of the GOP debate, but that’s really about it. Sao Paulo is a pretty cool place, built purely on functionality. Cars are parked withing gated areas, and there’s usually not a front door to the houses with such areas (at least, that I could see from my window overlooking the city).

I hope everyone is doing great, I miss all of you and hope to hear from you soon. I really hope no one is shy, afraid, or whatever else may cause you to not write if you have something to say, reading e-mails on my prep day has to be one of the best parts of the week. I sent my physical address to my mom via snail mail, so who knows when that will arrive (it’s heading to Provo first), and I expect she’ll share that if someone asks. I love to hear from my friends, though, it reminds me what’s waiting at home.

I can’t wait to hear from you. I feel like I’m traveling down a road that I thought I understood, but really have no idea about. But that’s okay, because it’s exciting.
